At that point WSJT is controlling the radio and changing filter, only Joe Taylor can fix that.
However I set the filter width for filter 2 on my Icom to be the wide filter and filter 1 as a narrow filter and it fixed it for me.
Not perfect but a work around!

It is the command sent by WSJT to Omnirig that triggers the filter change, you can change/edit the filter command in the Omnirig 7300.ini file but then any other software using Omnirig will be incorrect.

Hi Andrew,
It depends upon the commands available for the IC-7300, which I am not familiar with. Can you check your 7300 manual to determine if there is a filter sub-command to the mode command for the 7300?
Also, which ini file are you using? OmniRig supplies a ic7300.ini and a ic7300-DATA.ini file.
Thanks,
Doug - W7DRM

Hi Andrew,
I run the same setup without problems. Please contact me directly. My email at qrz.com is fine

Re: Icom 7300 ,LOG4OM ,omnirig and WSJTX (FT 8 filter size)
Today I experienced the same problem that my 7300 switches to FIL 2 as soon Omnirig is used in WSJTx. Switching WSJTx back to Icom IC7300, the 7300 is correctly set to FIL 1.
I am using the latest versions of Omnirig and WSJTx.
This thread is started in 2018, does this mean this issue is still not solved?
Any latest suggestions how to fix this?

Select Omnirig 7300 data.ini

Re: Icom 7300 ,LOG4OM ,omnirig and WSJTX (FT 8 filter size)
Terry ,
In Omnirig I did select7300DATA, this switches the 7300 to FIL 2 instead of FIL 1 like WSJTx does by default.
When I select Icom 7300 in Omnirig, the 7300 goes in RTTY mode. So I switched Omnirig back to the initial 7300DATA setting and get FIL 2 set by default again.
Do I need to edit the ini file?
Update:
According to the developer website, the latest version of Omnirig is 2.1 dated June 1 2020.
Looking at the date of the exe file inside the zip file is April 2019.
I uninstalled the initial version that I was running (1.19 according to the about).
Installing the “2.1 version” exe file and checking the About tab, it says it is version 1.19. Now I am lost
Does anyone know the latest version and a link where to download?

Version 2.1 will not work the Swiss developer wont fix its bugs, you must use Version 1.19 from Alex at afreet here http://dxatlas.com/OmniRig/Files/OmniRig.zip
You can edit the ini file search the forum and google for what to do

To save you time searching on the web, here my helping hand.
To solve the wrong filter setting when using OmniRig , the IC-7300-DATA.ini must be nodified.
Read this article:
https://www.cademuir.eu/blog/2020/09/16 ... 2-problem/
The IC-7300-DATA.ini can be found in folder Program Files (x86)\Afreet\OmniRig\Rigs
Use the program Notepad++ to edit the ini file and save it back to the Rigs folder of OmniRig.
