All the information about setting up multiple/different profiles I found in the forum were helpful.
But I would like to use a separate database for each callsign/profile. I use standard SQLite.
For example:
Profile:
HB9DAQ Home and database HB9DAQ.SQLite
HB9DAQ_9A and database 9A_HB9DAQ.SQLite
HB9DAQ_QRP and database HB9DAQ_QRP.SQLite
But when I start any profile over the shortcut with spzified ID as start option, it always loads the previous used database. How can I configure Log4OM or the corresponding profile to load also the associated database?
Thanks for any help.
Merry Christmas an Happy New Year.

Re: Multiple profiles with associated database
What version of Log4om are you using?
I just set up 2 different config using 2 different databases and configured 2 different desktop shortcuts and each config opens with the correct database!

Re: Multiple profiles with associated database
Hi Terry
Thanks for your answer.
I use Log4OM version 1.35.0.0.
When I use the main profile I start it with the following shortcut
E:\Amateurfunk\Logbuch\Log4OM\LogOMUI.exe CONFIG=5b9a1326-fea4-433c-9d66-016baf47bebb
The associated database is HB9DAQ.SQLite, but only when I bevore has not switch to another database with another associated profile. When I exit the program and startet with an other desktop shortcut (example 9A_HB9DAQ)
E:\Amateurfunk\Logbuch\Log4OM\LogOMUI.exe CONFIG=8223580b-4dc2-4248-bb61-31c0a13e93f0
then the profile will changed but not the assisiated database. It is always HB9DAQ.SQLite and not 9A_HB9DAQ.SQLite.
Thanks so much for your support.

Re: Multiple profiles with associated database
Peter,
I just checked our user guide and I dont think I explained how to do this properly, which might be causing your issue, so here is a step by step procedure.
1. In the Options/Select config tab create a new config (Or clone an existing one) with a unique name for the alternative set up.
2. Click the 'Make Active' button
3. Copy the Config ID and create a new Log4OM desktop shortcut
4. Add the Config ID to the shortcut 'Properties/Target string like:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\IW3HMH\Log4OM\LogOMUI.exe" Config=dcf0666e-dfa0-4ba9-8617-fca69aa76ec4
Be certain to leave a gap between the inverted commas (") and the first letter of config or you will get an error message when you click 'Apply'.
Give the short cut a recognisable and unique name so that you can easily identify it.
click 'Apply' and then OK
5. Click the save icon (Floppry disk button at lower right of the Log4OM window.
6. Close and restart Log4OM by clicking the newly made shortcut and make sure that the name of the new config is displayed in the top ribon bar of Log4OM.
7. Check that all of the information in the options are as required like the station Info re call signs and grid references and the upload information for On line logbooks like LOTW, QRZ etc and then save the config as before.
8. Goto the file menu and select open database, select the database to be used with this configuration.
9. Restart the program and check that the correct database has been opened.
Now repeat steps 1 to 9 for the next configuration
Once all of the required configurations have been set up just click the appropriate shortcut to open the required set up.

Re: Multiple profiles with associated database
Hello Terry
Thanks for the step by step description. I belive that I made this so bevore also.
After playing around with different steps now it works. The prozess like it comes true its a little mysterious for me. What I found out is that the profile changing with the assosiated database will work but, like you see in the printscreeen, the actual used configuration (profile) is running but not as the active signed.
Active signed ist the bevore running configuration. When I used only one configuration bevore So I have seen, that these is as active signed and also as the running.
I dit'nd understande the facts and the sens.
Maybe I play once again with different configurations when I finde time over the chrismas holidays and can dissolve the Gordian knot.
