Hi All
I am trying to get it to work with Log4OM I set it up as per the manual but it doesn't see my rig,
Do I just have to select XML-RPC or do I have to fill in any of the other tabs,
Thanks
Trevor

Re: Fldigi
Page 152 & 153 of the user guide states....
• In FLDigi in rig configuration disable any existing CAT control like Hamlib
• XML-RPC to enabled and initialize it - Save and exit the rig configuration screen
The only item that should be checked is the XML-RPC check box and then click "Initialise" followed by "Save" followed by "Close"
Rig control is via Log4OM and Log4OM communicates with FLDigi by the XML-RPC protocol
You must have the Log4OM communicator set up as described in the user manual pages 151 and 152
The communicator must be running - Do not close the communicator just minimise it
Important note
When the initial set up is completed close both Log4OM and FLDigi
Now re-open FLDigi before opening Log4OM

Re: Fldigi
Hi Terry
Tried all that and no joy, just did a PSK31 QSO on 15m to test and it logged it as 160m PSK31 ???
In the communicator screen the connection to Fldigi (outbound) icon is going red from time to time
not sure why
Thanks
Trevor

Re: Fldigi
During the QSO what did you do, like did you alter any windows, look at statistics, filter clusters, open other programs, send emails. I ask because something is clearly interrupting the Comms between Log4OM and FLDigi
Are you perhaps changing bands or modes in FLDigi?
The frequency displayed in FLDigi should be the same as on the rig and as shown in Log4om if it's not then there is no communication.
I have used Log4OM with the FLDigi interface for the last two weeks on a daily basis and have had over 200 PSK and RTTY QSO's and it has not missed a beat so there has to be something specific to your set up and operating method causing this.
We need to know what is causing your issue so that we can avoid it happening to others so please provide a detailed step by step explanation of what actions you take from opening the two programs to the point wher they lose communication.

Re: Fldigi
I'm going to do a full reboot and report back QRX
Re: Fldigi
did full reboot and started Fldigi first then Log4OM and again Fldigi didn't know what band I was on,
I can get the connection to fldigi outbound light to go red by toggling the TX RX buttons in fldigi,
Just to be clear I have never used fldigi before so there is no info in it to tell it what rig I am using should all that be taken care of with XML-RPC
I have to go out for a while but will come back to it later.
Thanks
Trevor

Re: Fldigi
it seems xml-rpc is not enabled on fldigi.
I noticed after i have set the xml-rpc for the first time i have to go in the CONFIGURE -> SAVE CONFIG menu, to make setting persistant
hope this helps
