First off, new user here and I do like the product. That is why I am trying to fix this issue rather than moving on.
That said, my issue is I enter a call sign - goto to frequency - enter the numbers (no periods/commas/ etc) - that is when I have a problem.
If I enter a frequency BELOW 7.200 or 3.800 all is fine.
If I enter 7.201 or 3.801 - I get a out of band error. This is with my call sign entered.
I DID SET THE CORRECT REGION AND CQ FOR MY LOCATION
I have tried incrementing up the frequency.
I have tried tab'ing over to the selection box.
Its almost like the program thinks I'm in a different region with different privileges.
Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Out of band error
This is with any call sign I might add, even with ones that I have already worked.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled the program from scratch.
I have not checked the higher bands as I only work 40/80/160m bands.

The program should be selecting the region 2 band plan which is selected dependent on what information is entered in the options, station details - Call sign, country and zones (zones are set automatically from your call and country.
So questions
1. What version of Log4om are you using
2. Did you uninstall the old version before installing the new one (if applicable)
3. Was is OK and now suddenly it is not working
Please also do the following
1. Delete and re-insert your call and country in the settings - let the zones auto select
2. Save the config
3. Restart the program (restart is required to ensure the correct band plan is used
BTW the band plan has nothing to do with call signs entered in the F1 call entry window or the regions set in the call entry area - The only thing which decides what band plan is selected is the options station details

Re: Out of band error
Terry,
Thank you for answering my query.
Ok, Latest version 1.16.0.0
Did run the un-install program before downloading the 'new' version. Problem was in old and new versions.
Was not ok and never worked right. I had only 2 releases to work with. No, dont remember the old release.
Thanks for the help. Running XP if that matters.
Something else that is strange.
I enter a call sign in, no matter what it is and while I have the map pulled up the same 'X''s appear in the bands and the same path on the map is shown.
No matter what call sign I put in. I can even put in my call sign and the same path and x show up. I know I'm not in Tennessee and did not work myself on 15,20,40,160 in CW.
Any stateside call that is inputted into program, same thing happens.
Only thought now is to go thru the registry and remove any and all entries of the program name.
Thoughts?

Re: Out of band error
Whilst I think of it the crosses in the box alongside the grey line map denote the Country worked not the call sign so you probably have worked the USA on the bands listed
Also if you are not doing a call lookup from QRZ or HamQTH you will not be receiving a locator so the software then plots the path to the center of the country.
BTW unless you pay money for a QRZ XML subscription you will not receive a locator when you do a QRZ lookup
My main concern is this out of band message so I would like to speak to you about that

I do pay for a premium subscription from QRZ, but just wanted to note all things that I saw.

Re: Out of band error
OK for everyones information we seem to have got to the bottom of the is one!
Lee did not have a rig connected so the band/freq information was being manually entered
All works OK providing he types the actual frequency into the frequency field
However if he uses the up and down arrows to select the frequency he gets the out of band message and I was able to replicate this so I think its a bug
The other apparent problems were just due to misunderstandings and are now resolved.
Thank you Lee for identifying the bug by using Skype we will resolve the issue

Re: Out of band error
Strangely enough, I'm getting this error also. I just put up a 40m antenna today, and I get the Out of Band error if I tune the radio above 7.2 MHz. I'm using Omni rig and haven't had any problems on the other bands I've been using (17m and 15M).
Should I just ignore the error message for now?
