VOACAP Propagation issue?

Hi,

I am running win10 v1909 X64 Log4Om v 2.3.0.0 and omnirig

How often is the VOACAP data used in the propagation calculation refreshed.
I have already 8 days exactly the same Circuit reliability diagram for a specific station in PJ2.
Is the VOACAP data available once a month and is it the probability for part of the month or does it have to calculate the current situation each time?

Thanks, 73 Dick DL1CLM

Dick,

Best I can determine is that once you enter in a call sign the calculation is done or refreshed. I found that on Page 56 of the most current User Guide.

Be sure to force a download of the current guide at: Help / User Guide / English (force update)

Hope that helps.

Thanks Nolan,

That's exactly what I do and yet nothing changes in the display, If I change my RF power the diagram will be different but if I go back to 100 Watts I get the same diagram for 8 days in a row now.
Try it yourself with my call at 20 meters a few days in a row.

Dick,

I've captured screen clips of your call sign on both 20 & 40 at the s/n ratio and circuit reliability tabs. Will check later today and over next days as well.

Dick,

Got some feedback from Danielle and he advised that data is taken monthly along with number of sunspots. That being the case one may not see any change from day to day or week, etc.. Depends upon what day of month that particular group of data is refreshed.

The constant we each have is our specific geographic location and antenna.

BTW - I've been taking daily JPGs using your call-sign and (goes without saying) ... no changes over those couple of days.

Hope this helps a tad.

Thanks Nolan for your answer.

I have 11 days exactly the same reliability diagram for the connection with my friend PJ2LS.
I have been searching the internet myself and have read that VOACAP data is only renewed once a month. I am curious when this is and will monitor it on a daily basis. So it is a monthly forecast and therefore only has a limited value at the current time. I had hoped that the cluster colom reliability would have more value.

I am still very happy with Log4Om version 2 and hope that the other problems with the cluster, (cluster alert that hasn't worked since v2.3.0.0) will be solved soon. In earlier v2 versions it worked fine.

Hi,

Today ( March 1) the Circuit reliability diagram for a specific station in PJ2 changed.

PJ2 2020-03-01 114045.jpg
PJ2 2020-03-01 114045.jpg (77.1 KiB) Viewed 4111 times
So it is not a problem, but a prediction that is adjusted once a month.

Dick,

Tnx for follow-through and update.
