1. When editing frequencies on the Edit QSO window in V1, you could use a decimal point and it knew to separate the KHz and Hz in their own respective window. Would be nice to see a similar feature in V2. Saves moving the cursor.
2. I've caught myself making mistakes when editing QSO Start and QSO End Date/Times. I drop down from Start row to the End row, and end up editing the wrong number. The dates being 03-03 & 03-04 lately don't help. Suggestion is just to move the QSO Start date/time to the right so it lines up directly with the QSO End date/time. Not a big deal, but think it would aid in editing and actually it look cleaner.
Thanks, Herb WB8ASI P.S. I'm really liking V2, and especially the 2.4.0.0 improvements.

Tnx for using and digging deeper into V2 and your comments. We still have many elements on deck as we keep testing and also absorbing the input from you guys.
About Edit QSO ... two main locations: 1) Main UI and 2) Edit QSO window
Both operate pretty much the same way. I fully understand getting used to the V2 method/procedure can be rough coming from V1.
Danielle used pretty much a 'tab' and 'cursor key' format. Once you enter a call sign in the Main UI and tab you go straight across to RST windows and then start and end times. Now ... if you have the time fields "locked" you will go right past them. If you unlock those time fields when you tab into them from the call sign and RST windows you will land on year / mo / da and time. Cursor hits each date / time element and you can reasonably quickly move values up/down with keyboard cursor keys. Once done there tab through the filed and land on frequency. Enter in the KHz values then hit the tab key and enter in the Hz.
I experienced somewhat similar when editing an existing QSO in the Edit QSO window.
For testing (from the MAIN UI) I selected a call sign (or even my own) and I also had the start/stop time field padlocks unlocked. I stepped through the routine a few times, cleared the call sign, entered in a new one and ran through the steps again. Practice and repetitive motion.
Kind of like learning CW ... how many times have we been told: Practice, practice, practice and then practice, practice some more.
You can also tic a box in configuration such that when you tab out of the call sign field (Main UI) the start time starts clocking. That tic box is at: Settings / Program Configuration / User Preferences tic box w/label of: Set QSO Start time when leaving callsign field.
A lot of verbiage to chew on, but give the tab and cursor key method a couple of tests and see if it might work to help change the V1 habit.
Let me know how you do.

Thanks for the advice. I'm pretty much a mouse clicker, but can see how the tab and arrow method might be the way to go. Will give it a try. Great software. 73, Herb WB8ASI
