Log4OM and Fldigi on an ICOM-7300

Post by PD0Y »

So I am using Log4OM along with Omnirig. This works fine.
Then I start Fldigi and press CONNECT in Log4OM to connect to Fldigi.
This works like a charm, when tuning the VFO the frequencies change on both Log4OM and Fldigi.
But.. I can not get Fldigi to transmit. Whenever I want to CQ the radio just won't transmit.

In Fldigi I am not using RIGCAT or Hamlib (when I do I loose the connection to Log4OM)

Does any of you have any idea on how to fix this?

Search this forum there are many posts explain that you need to use a VSP because FlDigi does not use Omnirig

I do have an USB cable running from the radio to the pc? Is that what you mean by VSP?

No a VSP is a Virtual Serial Port not a physical cable

Thank you. I will look further.

FYI I did a search on the website and this is what I've got

The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: fldigi cat.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

That is why I considered asking the question.
