Stats : I don't understand

Post by F6FLU »

Hello

I contacted FB8XV on 20M SSB 16/02/1979 and one QSO has been validated by QSL paper
But when I write FB8XV on the Call Field the stats part see I already contacted Kerguelen on all band and all modes :

I think, the problem is :
FB8XV is in fact F6FTB and on Log4OM when I wrote FB8XV the country is "France" and not "Kerguelen Is."
I think that is the problem ?
Thanks

In 1979 the callsign FB8XV was activated by K8CX (Christian) in a Dxpedition to Kerguelen Islands.
So when Log4OM change France to Kerguelen for a 1979 QSO it´s correct.

73´s .. Juergen ... ALT-512 SDR (10W) , 50 m random wire at SG-211 autotuner, 2 x Xiegu G90 (20W HF TRX) one as portable Radio. Also TS-790E (40 W) for VHF/UHF with X-50 vertical and Duoband 4-Element LPDA.

I checked this with a old Kerguelen QSO I had with FB8XA and seeing the same thing as Dan. The lookup is incorrectly bringing up the wrong country code based on current lookup lists instead of the country codes in the QSO itself. Probably the best way to handle is if there is an exact match with previous QSO's, then use the country code already in the QSO database. Otherwise, use country codes from a lookup. Just my two cents :)

But as happens often if the prefix has changed during the last 21 years as in this case you will save the QSO with the wrong country.

You are logging today so it's the current country according to the prefix that will be recorded, whereas if you look at the WB4 list that QSO will have the country recorded as it was at the time of the qso
