Search is not helpful

Post by n2lrb »

In trying to search different topics I am told that my search criteria (search term) is too common. I run into this a lot. For instance I am looking to change the format of the Freq Column. It's running the Freq as one number with no periods i.e. 144260. As oppose to 144.260. But when I input 'Freq Format" I get that message that the search term is to common. This makes searching this forum rather useless. How are we to search if everything if considered too common?

Having an identical experience. Neither 'search this forum' at the upper left nor 'search' at the top right works. Tried using several terms and only get '... too common ...' in response.

My bad (I guess). Just didn't want to believe not be able to find more about a reference in a topic to Omnirig V2.1 not working with Log4OM and that it had been discussed prior. Wanted to search for more info and used 'omnirig' and several variations which all failed.

Using 'hamlib' I get results as you show. For the record using Microsoft Edge (getting hard to not use it), Explorer, and Firefox. All on Dell Optiplex 7010 i5 16GB Win10Pro machine. Works fine.

From what little I glean online it might appear omnirig 1.9 may fade away and multirig takes it's place?

Not until the Swiss guy starts cooperating with other developers and gets rid of the bugs he introduced
