CAT Control, TS590S - I see only VFO B

Dear All,

I have TS590S and when I connect it with CAT control to Log4OM, I see only VFO B frequency (and mode and etc). VFO A is not visible.

If I switch to VFO A I don’t see the frequency, mode etc. on CAT screen. When I switch back to VFO B, it continues to show everything.



Maybe it is a small “stupid” setting somewhere but I was not able to find it neither in the program neither in the manual.

You need to tell us which CAT system you are using Hamlib or Omnirig and which Omnirig version number

Also required before we can assist is what version of Log4OM are you using (See help/about if your not sure)

Additionally the TS590 has to ways to connect CAT, by USB and via the ACC socket on the back panel, which one are you using?

Other helpful information is Windows OS version, any other software running at the same time as Log4OM etc

Hi Terry,

I am using Hamlib with USB cable.
RIG Model: 231, Kenwood TS-590S 0.9.1 Beta
Log4OM ver 2.11.0.0.
Windows 10Pro, Ver 20H2, Build 19042.804
I have the same issue regardless whether I am using other programs or have only Log4OM running.

Now I installed Omnirig, tried with it and it seems OK, I see both of the VFOs.

So it solved the issue however the question stil exists: why it does not work properly with Hamlib

I have never had any success with Hamlib so I am not surprised
