2.16.0.0 Hamlib RIG model not saved

The root cause of my CAT connection issues seems to be the fact that the Hamlib RIG model defined under Settings | Program Configuration | CAT Interface | Hamlib is not saved. After each restart of Log4OM Portable, this field is again empty.

I have made Lele aware off this but he is on vacation so there could be a delay in fixing it, sorry for the inconvenience

No problem Terry. First it's not a show-stopper for me, and 2nd the manual workaround is just a few extra mouse clicks.

Guys,
I installed latest version of log4om2 and have exactly the same issue. Is there a solution to this?

Rig is flex 6600

Thanks

Paul

Not a solution, but an easy workaround: Use OmniRig instead of HamLib.

Sent you both an update to check hamlib persistence

Wow....thanks Terry & Nolan for the quick replies!

Installed V2.23.0.3 and will see if the Hamlib persistance is resolved.

To date, I have restarted the PC a few times now and the HAMLIB CAT is still working so fingers crossed!

In response to Nolan's request, I am finding that double clicking on a spot in the Cluster panel updates the Main UI with 4 digit grid square only, whereas the Bandmap updates the main UI with the fuller 6 digit grid.

Please let me know if there is anything else you want me to try?

Many thanks

Paul

Paul,

Your comment/observation is opposite to what I'm experiencing. I am finding that the clicks on the bandmap spots provides a 4-digit grid value and clicking on the same spot on the cluster tab provides the 6-digit grid value.

Images of my experience are below.

As I noted in my message that the variance is not a huge issue with smaller footprint countries, but over here in the USA, Canada and Australia, etc.. the variance in the grid is a BIG difference. ;)

Yes Nolan, complete opposite of your findings.

I can send you the screenshots if required.

Agreed, use of a 6 digit grid does not have a big impact for anyone working Northern Ireland. :)

Paul,

Tnx for the confirmation. That really has my scratching my head now about the reverse results.

And it is very true that the grid square impact for smaller geographical areas not a big deal, but certainly is in other countries.

Yes, I'd be interested in seeing your screen clips when you have time. Pls send to my e-mail so we don't clutter up the Forum.
