iCOM7100 Config

I am trying to use Log40M2 with my iCOM7100. I have printed the manual and have followed the set up config as described. I have only been able to connect once for about 1/2 hour then it cut off and I haven't been connected since. I keep getting an ERROR message that either says that the COMM port is in use or the Baud rate is incorrect. I've checked all the settings but cannot figure out what the issue is. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

I use a 7100 and it works perfectly

1. Have you installed the ICOM USB drivers BEFORE you connected the radio to the pc as per the Icom instructions?

2. Use Omnirig and download the latest rig ini files

3. If using wsjt etc also ensure that ZLog4om, Omnirig, wsjt etc are all installed to 'Run as an administrator.

4. Don't waste your time with Hamlib
