New to the program and loving it’s really very good but I have a problem! I used the contest mode in the weekends DXCC and without problem, the contest mode indicator worked and it all logged correctly.
Tonight there was a contest that was not in the list so I created it and managed to get it so I could select it from the list and add start and stop times. It was only a hour sprint and I created it during the contest time but I was not able to get the ‘contest mode’ flag or window to indicate I was in contest mode, either by selecting the contest mode from the top bar menu or pressing the crown icon. The green ‘contest’ word flag that was there next to the QSO start time at the weekend contest just wasn’t there this time the two lines on the crown on the top menu were there, but the window didn’t change or include the fixed string I’d entered….What am I doing wrong?

Not to be defeated I tried again today. Creating a contest called 'test', then editing the times for an hour long time period that I was currently in and it worked? I really didn't do anything different except the name of the contest in the CSV file adjustment in resources editor so the process I do works correctly, it just didn't take last night and I did try plenty of times.
I did click the save icon, select the name of the contest and restart the app to load the file on all occasions so I don't know what was different yesterday.
I think its been mentioned several time, the crown icon in the text menu changes when in contest mode and correctly indicates along with the word flag 'contest' in the data entry window, However the crown in the icon 'ribbon' either has a thin line box or no box and while it does toggle the software in and out of contest mode and have a slight hue of darker blue change depending how it feels but only if you hover over it, also it doesn't change and stay 'lit' , confusion compounded by the fact the line box and hue change can be there or not depending on how contest mode is selected by which control with any consistency .....shouldn't they all supposed to be synchronised so they all indicate the mode the interface is in? Also it would be really useful if the name of the contest could possibly be shown somewhere on the logging screen, it would be awesome to know which competition I was logging in when there are a couple, on at the same time....comfort blanket!
