Message Service not working

I noticed that all day yesterday, and again today, that I cannot 'Connect' t the Message Service..... I have asked 2 other VK's and they have the same problem..

Is this a sudden bug, or does anyone know what may be causing the Message Service to currently be not working ???
A server issue or some other problem ???

Tag has decided to leave the project forcing us to move the message server. We had to change the address which will require it to be changed in all clients that use the Off Air Message Service including GridTracker and Log4OM.

How to fix chat:

Locate config.ini file in your settings folder (menu HELP -> OPEN CONFIGURATION FOLDER)
Edit config.ini file with notepad or similar, find the row:

[CHAT]
SERVERADDRESS = wss://tagloomis.com
START_PORT = 18260

replace with

[CHAT]
SERVERADDRESS = ws://oams.space
START_PORT = 18360

please note that the prefix changed from WSS to WS only

Lele,

Any changes needed/required for the RANGE and/or DEBUG_PORT values?

Just to tag on to this discussion.

I'm now one the lead developers for the server software that powers the chat function. I'm open to any suggestions for any potential improvements or new features. One I'm interested in implementing is expanding our realtime spits feature to make it something I think would be of more interest to non FT8 operators as well. I currently also operate a DX Spider cluster and will be brainstorming how to bridge the two so we could deliver traditional DX spots with user set-able filters via the same network connection as OAMS.

Matthew, would it be possible to have the chat window auto open when someone sends me ( /you) a message ??? I have noticed that in reality, very few people know of the chat feature and even fewer know what the little flashing red square is.... auto opening the window, like the one in jtalert does, would solve this ....
