Omnirig Rig Control Error

More Omnirig woes…
I constantly get the attached error when working FT8, especially in the higher frequencies. 40m is the mosr stable, 20m and above less so.
It breaks the transmission routine. Clicking Retry sometimes allows me to carry on, other times I have to switch to lower frequencies.
Any ideas why?
Thanks in advance,
Simon (M7WWX)

That does not mean you fixed it
Do you have a common mode choke on feeder?
What type of aerial is it
What feeder
What radio
What CAT connection to PC
Proximity to shack of aerial
Could be any one of a hundred reasons that you have RF in shack but that is undoubtably the problem

Diamond BB7V vertical
17m Ultraflex 7 feeder
Xiegu G90 with CE-19 interface
Thanks I’ll look into it.

Verticals are the worst for stray RF you need good radial and a proper common mode choke on coax at aerial and if possible a remote tuner

If i see right your TX was transmitting while you make the sceenshot. The vertikal lines telling
me that your HF is coming into the shack. If you have connected your BB-7 with coax cable to
a tuner in the shack it´s not a wonder that you have effects like this. A common choke would
help but the power you put out at the antenne is around 80% less then the output on the TX.
In this case you need a tuner at the feedpoint of the BB-7 and you need a common choke between
the tuner and the TX. The common choke next to the tuners side.

No, that’s just a phone photo of the computer screen! There is no interference on the monitor at all.
Thanks for the advice.

Is that not what I just said?
