VarAC mode

Hi,

Since VarAC is not recognized by the ADIF organization yet, would you be able to either add DATA as one of the mode selections in the drop box or allow users to manually TYPE a mode as needed (if it is not listed in the dropdown box)?

Thanks and 73,
Steve Panattoni N6RSH

Steve,

You can edit the modelist yourself for your installation.

Click: Settings / Resources Editor ...

Program resources you can modify are in the left box. Once you modify and save the particular file it will add a '_user' tag on the filename so that it will be saved going forward even with program updates.

Hope this helps you out.

I have edited the .csv file, and saved. I can see the mode vara;vara;vara in that file. But not in the GUI from LOG4OM. What am i doing wrong?

Not know why yo don´t see it in the main UI but your entry is completly wrong. VARA HF or VARA SATELLITE or VARA FM 1200 or VARA FM ist
only the Submode. Mode is "DYNAMIC".

http://www.adif.org.uk/314/ADIF_314.htm ... numeration

With your entry Log4OM will not do a correct LotW upload without errors .... vara;vara;vara don´t will work.

Correct will be VARA HF;VARA HF;DYNAMIC;VARA HF (for VARA HF only for the other VARA Submodes you have to do the same).

Also the RST file must be edited if VARA HF dont has a simple 599 RST

Just a thought: do you have checked VARA in "User preferences" -> "Preferred modes"?

Hi Nolan, I can see the Vara mode in the resources listing, but not in the preferred modes in user preferences? How do I enable this please?

Richard,

Which version of Log4OM are you using? Current release is: V2.28.0.0

Clip below shows my current list of preferred modes. Mind you I have to scroll up/down to see all the available modes.

Richard,

Do you have choices in the Preferred Modes window or is it blank?

You can also go to: Settings / Update Resources / Modes

Once that routine completes you will get an alert flag next to the Main UI Note field indicating the update is complete.
