eQSL not populating comments?

Maybe doing something wrong, but I am not seeing the comments fields in QSL Comments fields logging on the eQSL.cc site?

I have added comments to the following screens in various tests, but not sure which one should work.

Started with the settings;
Screenshot 1 - Settings.png
Screenshot 1 - Settings.png (8.36 KiB) Viewed 1380 times
That didn't work, so I added to the F2 tab and tried with and without padlock ticked;
Screenshot 2 - F2 screen.png
Screenshot 2 - F2 screen.png (15.8 KiB) Viewed 1380 times
But still don't see the text coming through on QSOs;

Am I missing anywhere else?
Thanks.

Some more data. Just pulled a section of the logs in Debug mode, and looks like the data is being passed to eQSL.cc.

Has anyone else got the same issue?

I'll contact eSQL as well to see if this is an issue their side.

Feel free to ask Eqsl, we send the information but after that it's down to eQSL

If they have changed something, then they should notify software developers

wouldn't that be nice if they did. :)

I've logged an issue on their forums as well, and will report back if there's any progress.

Just for the avoidance of doubt. Am I correct in assuming that the text in the "Confirmations Settings" is what gets populated in the interface?

Thanks.

OK got a response from eQSL;

"No issue,

FAQ :

The ADIF tag COMMENT is used for private comments about the QSO. We found out a decade ago that people did NOT want those comments disclosed on their cards! The ADIF tag QSLMSG is designed to be used for QSL Card Comments. That is the one we display on the eQSL card.
73 - F6DKQ"

So looking back at the log file extract below, I can't see the QSLMSG tag listed. Is there something I need to do to enable this?

Thanks.

Sorry I forgot to mention, I did a search of forums and found the same issue reported here;

https://forum.log4om.com/viewtopic.php? ... msg#p40457

Last message says they couldn't find QSLMSG in their log file either.

I did include extract of my logfile, but changed the passwords in the text. ;)

Thanks.

Partly right! Comments is the comment that is public and NOTES are the private comments like 'this guy's a nutter'

And we export it in the ADIF export file as below

Thanks Terry for walking me through this.

I'd populated all these fields, so not sure why it was not working. Just went through and set everything up again and tracked it through the process and it works if I add a QSO manually. So I'll do some more testing later using WSJT-X and FT8 and see if it works there.

Right now though I can see the QSLMSG field is now appearing in the log;
"QSLMSG%3a36%3eThank+you+for+your+QSO.+73s+Darrell."

And the QSL Text is going through the interface to eQSL.cc;

The automatic upload is just an automated manual upload and contains exactly the same information.

Using WSJT variants make no difference unless you have set the WSJT program to auto upload to eQSL? in which case eQSL @ Log4OM will treat them as duplicates and not upload the QSO's
