Forum Usernames ....

Post by KI5IO »

RE: Forum Username for OMs joining

This has been covered many times and there are multiple links about the need for an OM to use their Ham Radio Callsign as their "Username" when requesting Log4OM Forum access.

If we Admins can determine an applicants callsign it will be changed from whatever verbiage requested that is NOT an official callsign.

If the applicant's callsign cannot be determined from the application it will simply be deleted.

So ... when placing an application for Log4OM Forum Access use your approved ham radio callsign as your username.

Goes without saying that the password of your choice is yours and yours alone. We can't see nor access your password(s).

Forum ... Usernames ... REPEAT !!!

This is just a repeat / reminder ...

When requesting a Username for our Log4OM Forum ... you MUST use your valid / assigned callsign.

If you do not enter your callsign for your Username your request will be deleted. Unless we can decipher your callsign from your e-mail address or other provided information.

Ergo, I'm sure many of you have seen that happen in recent time frames. I've changed many such requests and I know the other Admins have done similar.

So ... use your callsign for your Username when submitting your request for the Forum access.

REPEAT - REPEAT !!!!

Forum Usernames

It appears that many new users are not spending much (if any) time to scan and read through the forum as they continue to use 'made up' usernames for the Forum Username access.

You MUST (repeat MUST) use your assigned radio callsign for your Forum Username.

As I always scan new access requests I'm finding the majority of OMs NOT using their callsign.

I am taking the time to change the 'made up' username to the OM's callsign.

So don't be surprised when your 'made up' username is not visible or working. Your chosen password will work with your callsign that I established.
