Trying to work FT8WW. Someone commented that he is using MSHV, some sort of FT8 variation. Does anyone have any info if this is true, and how it would be configured with LOTW?

Bob,
I would expect that it would be a submode of sorts with FT8 or FT4 or similar. I can't find any such ID (MSHV) in the current approved version of the ADIF standard.
Not to say that they are not considering adding such in a future release.
I also did some searches on the LOTW Groups.io reflector and also cannot find anything there on the threads.
Maybe you could reach out to the ARRL LOTW support folks and ask them if they are considering adding such, but they likely won't until a new ADIF standard is released. Short of that at the least maybe they can advise how to handle submitting a Q for MSHV in the interim.
Goes without saying I don't have an answer, but wanted to share what little I did come up with.

MSHV is a multistream variant of FT*. Just leave WSJTX in normal mode to work them. Do not use F/H mode.

Should configure in a similar way to WSJT to integrate with Log4OM, try using the set up for WSJT shown in our user guide

MSHV, the software, uses its own multistreaming format. It's compatible with the standard FT8. It's not/not the same as WSJT-X F&H.
With MSHV multistreaming, one can choose the timeslot to use (even/odd), and skip the grid. This makes for a faster contact and better chance of completing it successfully, so the line moves faster and more of the "deserving" can put the DX in the log.

I set up MSHV this afternoon to work with Log4om and it worked perfectly including station lookup in log4om
Set up took 5 minutes and was very similar to wsjt/jtdx

MSHV has a horrible GUI leave it to the DX end and stick with WSJT or JTDX for your end,

LOG4OM report FT8WW as France and every time I need to change it manually to Crozet Is.
How to update this in the country file?
Sorry for posting it in FT8 & MSHV Discussion.
Thank you

Log4OM is reporting FT8WW as Crozet for me.
Maybe update your resources under settings.
