Map Zoom +/- Icons

I've just switched from a mouse to a trackball and have discovered there's no way of zooming in/out of the right-hand map when an Operator location appears. I can right/left click and move about with the trackball, but I no longer have a scroll wheel. Could +/- zoom buttons be added to the map screen please (just like the red/green band-plan/cluster ones to the right)?

Ian,

There is likely a small software package controlling your Trackball. That being the case that software can assign any number of options to various buttons.

In my case I use a Logitech Mouse (no trackball here), but the software that controls the mouse has all sorts of options I can assign to various buttons on the mouse.

Thanks Nolan. Spookily my trackball is a Logitech. I'll take a look regards settings, as there are two smaller buttons just above the main left/right click ones, so perhaps I can assign these like you say.

Update: Oh well, it was worth a try. Trackball download and button options work in Microsoft apps in terms of up/down scroll, but not on the Log4OM2 map, or Recent QSO screen etc.

Lack of zoom control on the map has been mentioned many times before over a long time period and it does seem odd that there is no native option to zoom the map without the use of a mouse wheel.

Honestly folks, we don't all use a mouse. I don't use one at all due to RSI inflicted many years ago from much mouse usage. So I now use pen and tablet. There's no mouse wheel. Can't think of any other piece of software I use that does not have either native keyboard shortcuts for zooming or on-screen zoom controls, e.g. Ctrl+ Ctrl- or some such. Could it be added, or even just add on-screen zoom buttons for the map panel?
