WSJT-X OmniRig and Log4OM with FT-991A Mode Issue

I'm puzzeled as I was trying to help a friend configure WSJT-X to log QSOs in Log4OM using his FT-991A. We are using OmniRig 1.20. When WSJT-X puts rig into trnasmit the mode defaults every time to USB. We have tried setting the rig in OmniRig to FT-991 and Ft-991-Digi and both have the samr result. We've tried changing the various settings in Rig control on WSJT-X with the same result. With WSJT-X connected directly to the radio's com port all is fine so this has to be some issue with OmniRig and the maybe the FT-991A .ini file maybe? Does anyone have a solution? We are using WIndows 11.
