Upload to LoTW using my new certificate via QSO Manager

Post by W0MS »

I changed my call and got a new TQSL certificate. I updated my Log4OM external services with the new TQSL cert as well as the QRZ and Club Log changes. I have Log4OM set to auto update all three. QRZ and Club Log update all OK. The LoTW upload is not working and I get the error message as follows:
INFO: ADIF File created successfully.
INFO: TQSL Version
Executing TQSL with upload
MANAGED MODE SET
ERROR: Signature and upload failed The specified executable is not a valid application for this OS platform.[/color]
LOTW END
I find that Log4OM does create the ADIF file. But that's as far as the upload process goes. If I open my TQSL program and choose ADIF file Log4OM created it TQSL will sign and upload the file all OK. So the LoTW side works OK. What does the failure error above mean and how do I fix it?

Check the TQSL executable path and temporary path in the Log4OM External sevices

Make sure that TQSL is installed in the default drive not on something like OneDrive

Perhaps post a screen shot of the external services/LOTW screen here

I have two files with TQSL certs. I have tried the file location that the TQSL program points to and another back up path. Same error. My TQSL cert and external services set up I used with my old call, which worked fine, is attached.

1. You have trusted QSL installed incorrectly, please install in the default TQSL locations

2. The path to the exe file should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\TrustedQSL\tqsl.exe" you clearly did not install TQSL to the default directory C:\PROGRAM FILES (x86)

3. The tempory path is also incorrect, as I have said many times it should be C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Log4OM2\temp

4. Unless your certain that you set a TQSL PRIVATE password, which I very much doubt Remove it!

5. You should also check that the station ID - EXACTLY matches that shown in TQSL

6. Ensure user name and password are the same as you use to log into the LOTW web site and remember they are CASE SENSITIVE

Thanks...
1. I noted that I have the tqsl key in C:\PROGRAM FILES (x86) and tried that. I have it in the folder noted in the screen shot as that's where the key for my old call has always been located and it worked for years.
2. I updated the path to that folder
3. Question.. when you note YOUR USER NAME the only file with a user name is under my old call sign. I do find all the ADIF files I've been trying to upload in that file so I assume it's correct.
4 Removed
5. exactly check
6. confirmed

I'm still getting the same error messsage.

Your making the path to the TQ6 file - WRONG

The path should be to the program executable the .EXE file - Why do you think the field name is TQSL EXE Path? its because its the path to the EXE file

I have no idea why I thought that Terry... my intuition can be very strong but at the same time very wrong.

It now works! I now have a picture of the correct set up saved in a file on this computer that is dedicated to amateur radio.

That should keep me from making a foolish error again in the future. I appreciate your help. Sorry to be such a idiot.
