LOG FILE RECOVERY GUIDE

I haven't found a simple or automatic way to do file recovery, so this is what I developed for my use. You may find it helpful.

Log4OM recovery 1st attempt W4GHV 11/11/24

1 database X:/W4GHV.sqlite
2 backup G:/mydrive/Log4OM
3 2nd backup C:users/bo/Log4OM

1 external USB thumb drive
2. Google Drive - Cloud
3. PC in users/bo/Log4OM

The current Log4OM version stores one of the two required files in C:/users/Bo/documents backup_config.json
It is also stored in C:/users/bo/appdata/roaming/backup W4GHV_...._...._config.json
The backup log file is stored in C:/users/bo/appdata/roaming/backup W4GHV_...._...._backup.zip
This zip file contains W4GHV_...._...._backup.sqlite (your QSO log file).
Rename it W4GHV.sqlite and put it in X:/ the original storage location.

To restore the config.json, take the backup_config.json or the W4GHV_...._...._config.json and rename it to config.json
Put this file in C:/users/bo/appdata/roaming/users.

Warning. Compare this file date and SIZE with those in C:/users/bo/appdata/roaming/backup.
If it is smaller than others, use the latest/largest one instead.
If you have accidentally created a new log file, the latest one willl be incorrect!
