POTA import fields?

Post by G0TRT »

Hi everyone, I'm 2 days in to using Log4OM 2 (awesome package) and I've noticed something with POTA QSOs that I think I want to change and I'm not sure if I can or should do it.

Historically I've used the ADIF Special Interest Group fields for POTA info, with my park going into MY_SIG_INFO, and the other park going into SIG_INFO. But Log4OM has the other park info going into Reference1 rather than SIG_INFO.

Of course there's the import of the park data and the mapping of fields, but also the adding of a "Park Award" during a QSO. Both of those could be responsible for using Refence1 rather than SIG_INFO.

Is it possible to change the field that POTA park names goes into, or do I not want to do that for a reason I'm not aware of?

Thanks. 73, Ciemon

No
MYPOTA and POTA have recognised ADIF fields and are saved to that field SIG is not used for that purpose.

Better for you to bulk edit existing POTA QSO's in the QSO manager so that your log conforms to the ADIF standard

So before I can even get close to an update of QSOs in the log I have to know where MY_POTA_REF and POTA_REF are going to go. But those two ADIF fields aren't available in the recent QSOs table (there are a lot of ADIF fields) and it would appear that POTA_REF is mapped to Reference1. MY_POTA_REF isn't mapped to any available field that I can see.

If the solution is to map MY_POTA_REF to the available Refence2 could you point me to something that would help me do that? And also is it possibel to rename the column headers in the recent QSOs tab?

Thanks again.

Ahh, now I see how that works. I have about 800 QSOs to update, from 44 parks, this is certainly going to be quicker than doing it manually.

Thanks for the references, thanks for your knowledge.
