Auto DX Cluster Posting?

Post by WA2SQQ »

Does LOG4OM offer the option to automatically post a station to the DX cluster after you press enter and place it in the log? If not, could it be considered for a possible update?

Tapping the "Send Spot" button is only one or two mouse clicks ... maybe 3. Easy enough to do and I use it a lot.

Yes, this is as I do it. If it would do an auto post after completion of a contact, it would be 2-3 clicks easier.

We are very unlikely to add that because of the danger of overloading clucter servers during Contest or intensive FT8 operations, in fact many server providers have expressly requested that developers dont do this.

Its the same reason we dont provide a real time upload to LOTW because they asked all of us not to! but of course there are always some developers that disregard those requests

Hello all
I do not think anyone needs a copy of your log on the cluster system...
DX clusters should only share rare or semi rare callsigns, not a very common EA or W, only rare and semi rare !
Thanks + 73
