Web integration to Google sheets

Good evening all,
My first post, so go easy on me!!

I read the GB2RS News broadcast on a Sunday morning on 7.127 LSB.
Currently, there are 3 news readers around the UK that broadcast on the 40 Mtre band, and we use Google sheets (shared by all 3 readers) to create a live list of people that are calling in for the pre news net.

This allows us to see, at any time (as it is Realtime) who has called in.
We have 3 fields in Google sheets:
Callsign, Name and QTH.
Currently, this is being entered manually in each field, so can take some time to complete.

I use LOG4OM as my logging program, - is there any way that if I type a callsign into LOG4OM it will automatically be populated into google sheets just by logging it into LOG4OM? - this way I have a log pf the QSO, but in the same instance, the data I wish to select can be displayed live on google sheets so that the other news readers can see it?

Any assistance is much appreciated.

Hi Nolan,

Just noticed - everyone elses callsign is in capitals - I've tried to edit mine but don't know how!

Any chance you could pop me in capital letters rather than lower case (being picky lol!)

It can be added at some point using the API that Google sheets provide

Where would you want it populated from the Log4OM Net control or the normal QSO input UI?

Ideally from the QSO Input, but I'm not sure at this point that all 3 of us use LOG4OMI. We
could do it using the Net control I guess, but I'm unsure how to do it.

Does Google sheets require a script to pull the data in, or can LOG4OM push the data through in real time - that's the issue.

Google sheets allows us all to see in real time the callsigns that have been added, - I'm not sure!

I already stated that integration could be added and even asked from where you would want it to be activated!


When we have time we will add the feature to Log4OM, but at this time there is no connection available!
