Program Screen Resolution

Post by AA3AE »

Running a new PC with Windows 11 pro, Log4v2 is working just fine. My issue is the program looks 'fuzzy' on a 4k monitor with the scale set at 150% (recommended). I've tried several tweaks found on the internet including setting the resolution of the program independently of the overall DPI scaling in settings. While I was able to get the program to look sharp, in that setting the text and the program elements were off/overlapping/cut off. Wondering if there are known settings to use or other possible solutions.

Yes, it is sharper at 100% but several elements are overlapping or not accessible. See screenshot.

Understood. I believe this is a Windows 11 issue. In searching the internet I found there is supposed to be an override for individual programs/apps where if you have the system setting for a 4K monitor at 150% you can set an individual program to 100% (or another percentage). It doesn't work very well as can be seen on the snip. Not certain if it's my setup or Windows 11, but I lean more towards Windows. Perhaps MS will eventually fix the issue.

I have my 4k monitor set at 150% because at 100% everything is way too small to read and Microsoft recommends 150%. The 'fuzzyness' is not too bad, it's just not sharp, but tolerable and worth it for this fantastic program. Just following up in case anyone else can shed some light on this.

Cheers & 73,
