Config File Not Loading

Post by N8HO »

For no apparent reason, my Log4OM software loaded with a screen explaining the Log4OM support request procedure. The program displayed OFFLine in the frequency box, no recent QSO's, etc. I reloaded the software and manually selected the last sqlite file. I can now see my previous contacts.

I noticed that all of my Program Configuration information, i.e., Station Information, confirmations, external services, backup location, etc, was blank/missing. How do I get Log4OM to load my latest config.jason file?

I don't know how this happened, but I would very much appreciate help getting Log4OM to work again.

I reloaded version 2.35.1.0 earlier today. My config.jason and backup.sqlite files are kept in my One Drive>Howard - Personal>Documents>Ham Radio>Log4OM2 directory. There are also files that are dated on a monthly basis, in the "Historic" subdirectory. I do not have a C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Log4OM2\ directory nor a C:\Users\USERS NAME\AppData\Roaming\Log4OM2\ directory.

Please refer to my earlier warnings on this forum against using one drive due to windows changing access rights during windows updates, Dropbox and Google drive are OK

Have you tried letting the install use the default instal settings?

I reinstalled Log4OM2 using the default settings and ran it as an Administrator. I also changed the backup location to an external hard drive instead of using OneDrive. Everything is working well now. Thanks Terry!
