DX Alerts and out of band
I have set up DX Alerts to my phone for new DXCCs on 160m. However, I am getting many alerts due to stations being outside the IARU Region 1 bandplan. For example any W or VE operating between 1.800 and 1.810 is generating an alert, even though I do not need them! The only setting I can find in the ...

Re: Malware Alert
My Log4OM crashed yesterday and Windows Defender also reported the Trojan fethar.B!cl. I tried deleting and reinstalling Log4OM but still got the same problem - it would not install. I downloaded a trial version of Bitdefender and then ran a full system scan. Bitdefender reported one infected file a...

Re: LoTW Statistics Compare routine?
In an old version of the AD1C DX4WIN comparison programme, you had to go to your award matrix on LOTW - highlight the matrix - and then save as a html file. So you essentially get the same as shown in the PDF but as a html instead. All a bit clumsy, but it worked! 73 Peter

Re: LoTW Statistics Compare routine?
Interestingly I used to use DX4WIN before becoming a LOG4OM convert. AD1C had a great routine for comparing LOTW with your DX4WIN log. It required you to do an ADIF download of your DXCC records from LOTW and then comparing with your own log. You can get an idea of AD1C's work at http://dx4win.ad1c....

Re: Moving from DX4WIN on a FLEX-6500
Duane, think of Omnirig as an essential component in Log4OM if you want a CAT interface. With SmartSDR 1.6 you also have a choice as to how you operate CW. You can either use CWX, or set up a Winkeyer Com Port in SmartCAT 1.6 and use the Winkeyer interface in Log4OM. 73 Peter

Re: Moving from DX4WIN on a FLEX-6500
It is easy to get Log4OM working with the Flex. I set up a dedicated COM port in SDRCAT. Then in Omnirig I connect to this Com port. You will need to download the SmartSDR rig file from the DXAtlas (Omnirig) website. I have Omnirig set to connect at 19200 8N1.

Re: ZL9A
ZL9A correctly has my country correctly as Auckland & Campbell islands. However there is a problem with the IOTA reference OC-286 in my log. I updated the IOTA file from the RSGB website, but the only choices for ZL9 are OC-37 and OC-74. OC-286 only shows up in the IOTA group list if I select Ne...

Re: Webpage/CSV automatic generation for local or external websites
Erwin As Terry says it is relatively easy to set up. I use the provided source file in your appdata\Roaming\LogOM folder and use this to create an "Output file name" which in my case is g3zss.htm. Then on the right side you need to setup the parameters to FTP this file to your website. You...
