ARRL Sweepstakes logging

Post by ab1xb »

Hello, I'm a new user so apologies if this is already answered. How do I log ARRL sweepstakes fields in Log4om? When I select the Contest (F4) tab, and Enable Contest Mode and select ARRL-SS-SSB, there is no place to enter precedence, section, and check information for either sender or receiver. Has this been implemented, or do I need an add-on or something?

Thanks.

I don't know anything about this contest but checking the contest rules I think you need to do the following

1. Now enable contest mode and select the ARRL SS CW or SS SSB from the drop down list
2. Enter "Precedence" in the 'Suffix' field like 'B AB1XB 70 CT'
3. Set the start serial number

Steps 1, 2 & 3 are only done once until the program is restarted

4. Enter the other stations call sign
5. Enter the other stations exchange details (Received)
6 Click 'Add' or press the enter key on your keyboard to enter the QSO

If you want to search previous QSO's for this contest only then check the search box and set the start and end dates

Hope this helps?

Thanks Terry, this helps, and will log all Sweepstakes contest information. Now I have to figure out how to convert the ADIF exported file to Cabrillo for submission to ARRL.

Thanks for your help.

There are some internet based conversion utilities for this purpose, search ADIF to Cabrilo

Precedence, section and check, if i remember well, are fields in ADIF we support when we load and export QSO back to ADIF, but those fields are editable only in QSO manager. There are no fields for filling those informations in the user interface. At least now.
