I have noticed when running JTalert it was showing me I need certain CQ zones on some bands.
One band was 15 meters and it was Zone 4 here in the US. Well I have LOTW WAS on most bands including 15 meters so it caught my eye.
I posted something on the JTalert group a few minutes ago but got wondering if it was a JTalert issue or Log4OM issue since I am scanning the Log4OM log.
As a test, I downloaded an ADIF file from QRZ and used it as my logging preference. As soon as I did all my CQ zone issues seemed fine. Switched back to Log4OM and did a scan log and once again had zone issues.
To make sure something did not happen where I was missing data in Log4OM I exported an ADIF from log4OM and used it and CQ zones were missing.
So in a nutshell JTalert is not recognizing all zones from Log4OM (ADIF or SQL) but does if I use QRZ.com ADIF file.
Thoughts?

Re: JTalert CQ zones
JTalert is reading the log4om sqlite file
Therefore if the information is in your sqlite logbook but JTalert is not displaying it my best guess would be an issue at the JTalert side

Probably. Just was surprising that it gets all the zones from the QRZ.com ADIF file but will not from the Log4OM ADIF file.

Terry, is there a way to look at zones in Log4OM like you do DXCC or WAS?

You can view them in your log by the recent QSO or qso manager gridskd0zv wrote: 11 Apr 2020, 19:28 Terry, is there a way to look at zones in Log4OM like you do DXCC or WAS?

Re: JTalert CQ zones
The plot thickens...
So I exported my log to a CSV file. I added LOTW QSL received and CQZ before exporting.
I started to sort all that out and it appears all my CQ zone 4 contacts are VEs and all my US contacts are lumped into Zone 5.
After sorting the CSV file there are only 50 LOTW confirmed contacts in Zone 4 and none of them are on 15.
So not a JTalert issue.
How do I sort out the Zone issue? I could import the QRZ ADIF file but hate to lose the Extended data in the logs like Contest ID.

Re: JTalert CQ zones
As a test I backed up and deleted my Log4OM log and imported QRZ ADIF file which had 1,956 instances of CQ zone 4 contacts in it.
When done Log4OM is still showing them as Zone 5 !

Re: JTalert CQ zones
This was true in v1 also. In v2, if you enable one or two Info Providers, one as primary and one as failsafe, and have external source set as one of your priorities, then you would probably get the correct zone. This should work for real time logging. It might not work for historic logging (the data might have changed). It might not work for importing an adif. In this case, you could go to QSO Manager, select the calls you want, and click Update Info. Once again, this might not be a good idea for QSOs from an earlier time.

Hey Jim,
The update info does not work for me. I already tried that.
I am just pulling from QRZ.com. Very few of my contacts are logged direct. Most come from N1MM ADIF or JTalert.
I just did a fresh install on another machine with version 1 and version 2
When I import into Version 1 I get zone zone 4 and when I import same ADIF into version 2 it shows zone 5.
I have not checked very far but there is certainly a lot more zone 4s in Version 1.
