Wrong CQ Zone Curacao in Country.xml

Post by dl1clm »

Hi,

In the Country.xml file the CQ Zone for Curacao is wrong.
Instead of CQ Zone 8 it should be CQ Zone 9.

Can somebody tell me where to report an error in the country.xml file so that it can be edited.
On July 9th there is a new Country.xml file installed and there is still CQ Zone 8 for Curacao and this must be CQ Zone 9.

Thanks, Dick DL1CLM

Hello Dick,

if nobody answeres try a mail to one of the team members like G4POP or IW3HMH. But you can edit
this file simply with an editor like Notepad++ and save it as Country_user.xml. That should work also
if a newer update of the Country.xml containing the wrong zone again. _user files will not be overwritten
by an update but they are overriding the original files.

Thanks Jürgen,

A few days ago I did indeed make a copy of Country.xml and made the adjustment in it.
Then saved it as Country_user.xml. just as it was in V1.
Strangely enough after a restart of Log4OM the wrong value kept coming (CQ Zone 8).
I had also assumed that Country_user.xml would be preferred but the value from Country.xml was displayed and not the value from Country_user.xml.
Do I need to put the custom file Country_user.xml in the directory 'user'? It is now in the same directory as Country.xml.
