Sorry - posted this in the wrong forum ( v1 instead of 2)

. The initial user details page has no country lookup, no map and so I cant get into the program.
Environment is Win 10 v 20H2. up 64 bit updated to KB4579311. Machine is an i7 with 16Gb RAM. Running on a domain under AD.
Log4Om reports initialisation with errors: INI file not found. Message in map field is "Exception no date in local tile cache"
Looks like there is something missing in the install package - or a file has been placed in the wrong location during install.

Re: Installation Failure
Have you tried a fresh download and re-install?
Did you install to the default directories?
Did you try entering your call sign?

Re: Installation Failure
HI
yes to all the above. I've also rebooted the machine. Now I have success BUT ONLY BY USING "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR". This seems a little strange as according to the manual I shouldn't have to do this. I have not loaded the Omnirig add-ons, just the plain logger. It's not a problem, now I've got into it. It wouldn't be the only program that requires this.
I can set it up to run automatically as administrator anyway, but I never run elevated anyway unless it is essential - far to dangerous in this day and age!
DO you know how may users are running under Active Directory? I am wondering if it is a function of a GPO. Willing to share these ( in private) if you want to check them out.
many thanks for the quick reply

Re: Installation Failure
If your going to use Omnirig (Highly reccommended) and also the WSJT programs you will need to run all elevated to take advantage of the Omnirig multithreading capabilities.
Glad your sorted - Now to bed CUL
