Device not ready message when trying to upload QSOs

Post by W6UZ »

Any suggestions how to fix upload of QSOs. I get a message "device not ready" when I select qso's and then click the upload button.
Thanks

Dud you not realise that LOTW has been closed down for repairs?

You should update to BETA 2.27.1.2

Thank you. I will give the Beta a go. I didn't know about Lotw however. But I have been getting that message for about a week. Will let you know how things turn out. Thanks for the time!

Roger, LOTW has been having issues for several weeks. They acknowledged it a couple days ago. My LOTW seems to be working (but possibly slow). Another one of the Alpha testers says the queue is super large right now so it might take some time for QSLs to be acknowledged.

Thanks for the advice. I can download Lotw for confirmations ok. I just keep getting the folder error message using Beta and trying to upload. I will stand by but also clear cache and possibly uninstall and reinstall. Thank you for the troubleshooting.

Roger,

Did you ever set up your temporary folder for LOTW uploads?

Images below show that field filled in on my installation as well as the path I made/use for the temporary path files.

Thanks for the tip. I did have a temp folder but it is on a different drive from TQSL. I am going to change drive to be the same as TQSL and see if that helps.

Roger,

Be very careful of the location where you create the LOTW/TQSL/Tempy folder.

Put it under the Windows IS default of: My Documents or Documents

Look at my screen clip with the path to that tempy folder. That ensure the folder in that directory structure can be properly written to and read from.

Do NOT put it in the same folder where you have the TQSL operating programmed installed. That will give you headaches.

Other drive locations outside of your system's C: drive will also give you headaches.
