I've used WSJT-x with the HRD suite without any problem but wanted to try Log4OM.
I'm using Omnirig V1 for cat control (interface is a Timewave/US navigator). I have WSJT-X working correctly with Omnirig and Log4OM is sharing CAT control. My question is when I start a QSO with JTX should it populate the call sign info in Log4OM before logging the contact? As soon as I get the RR73 from JTX and log the contact Log4OM will log all the information correctly but as I say nothing populates the call sign information area in Log4OM.
Hope that makes some sense and thanks in advance.

WSJT-X and Log4OM Question
Re: WSJT-X and Log4OM Question
Well I got Log4OM to see the contact when I double click on a call in WSJT-X however the sent/receive signal boxes are flashing on and off, the mode flashes between FT8 and USB and Grid Mode flashes between phone call & digital call.

Re: WSJT-X and Log4OM Question
You might be on the edge of the FT8 frequency as detailed in the bandplan or perhaps have a menu setting like split set incorrectly in the FT8 software, regardless it will still log correctly.

Re: WSJT-X and Log4OM Question
Hello Terry and thanks for the reply.
I've got everything pretty much set at this point but still have the problem of the flashing mode and flashing signal report. If I unlock the mode in the call window the flashing stops. I think what is happening is that as Log4OM is polling it is seeing FT8 from WSJT-X and also USB from my Yaesu FT950.
Could the problem be on my end?
Thanks again.

Terry,
Welcome to Log4OM and good to hear from you.
Take a look at the links below as they address the flashing RST boxes, etc.. to some degree.

Hi Nolan and thanks for those links.
Are you still doing the home inspection gig? I retired some years ago as my knees couldn't take crawling around in attics.
Hope you've been doing well.

Nope on home inspections. Sold my website domain, retired and able to spend much more time with my K3. Also have had some heart & cancer issues, but all is 3 & 5 years behind me and am doing very well.K8TJM wrote: 18 Jul 2023, 16:15 Hi Nolan and thanks for those links.
