FT8 QSO from JTAlert/WSJT-X is logged in Log4OM but not sent to ClubLog or QRZ

Post by N1NK »

New user here. I have logging working from WSJT-X through JTAlert into Log4OM but the qsos are not being forwarded to ClubLog or QRZ even though the setting in Configuration is set to immediately send. What am I missing?

There is an upload delay of 1 or 2 minutes that a user have the chance to change something before it´s uploaded. Log4OM changes
the QRZ or Clublog sent status only if this delay is over and the confirmation is sended. Maybe you have to refresh the list from time
ti time to see that all is o.k..

I was watching to see if the QSO was uploaded to QRZ and ClubLog and it never arrived. I should check to see if the QRZ API key and ClubLog login information are correct. Jim

Did you replace the UDP connection as detailed here on forum and social media?

Hello Terry,

I've seen this reply in numerous threads. Would it be possible to post a sticky with actual links pointing to where on this forum and where on social media?

I spent a lot of time on you tube watching videos when I first got this program but also saw a post here saying not to trust posts on you tube.

Thanks!

The process is detailed in the latest user guide and was noted in the release notes of version 2.27.0.0 and a search of this forum for 'Delete UDP' returns 39 posts explainining the process.

However here are the steps you should follow:

1. In Log4OM Program configuration go to the 'Connections menu

2. Make a note of the port number being used for your UDP connection to whatever FT software your using.

3. Delete the existing UDP connection

4. Click the Plus sign to add a new connetion

5. In the resulting pop up window provide a connection name, add the port number obtained in step 2 above (This is not neccesarily the port number shown in my graphic) and select the 'Service type'

6. Ensure the four check boxes are checked as shown in the graphic below

7. Click the small floppy disk 'SAVE' icon at the lower right

8. Click 'Save and apply'

9. Restart Log4OM

You could use the preset buttons at the bottom but I have included the step by step instructions
