Country update

Post by F6EXV »

Hello all
I have run my statistics for DXCC award, and I found many mistakes, most if not all due to wrong country for callsigns that do not immediately identify the DXCC entity, like 3D2, TO, TX to just name these.
What is the procedure to download the clublog file that supposedly would correct these issues ?

Another tricky example is FO0AWI which can count for Marquesas or Australs depending on the date.

When I go to settings/update ressourses/clublog, nothing seems to happen...

Update resources only updates the Clublog file it does not update your logbook

However as our user guide explains the award QSO references can be updated in the View/Award statu/DXCC screen using the 'Maintenance' tab

Hi Terry
Thanks for reply.
In other words, there is no way to update the log using the clublog file of "callsigns exceptions".
I have probably hundreds of such exceptions, and just cannot imagine to update them one by one manually.
Ideally, and this maybe a feature suggestion, I would love to see the possibility to run a sub-program that would do this update.
So untill then (dreaming ?), my statistics will remain wrong.

I did not say one by one, the method described is a mass update, you can also download from Clublog if you wish

Thats the good thing about Log4OM it is possible to do almost anything the user requires with minimal effort

Terry
I did what you just wrote, but the first example I look for is 3D2CY : it was considered as Fiji, while it was actually Conway Reef. This is onoly one example out of many similar.
After running the maintenance, it was not changed, while I have the latest Clublog file.
At least I think so, because when I do update ressources/clublog, I do not see anything happening...
Same with "Maintenance/Rescan references", nothing seems to happen.
Another set of wrong country info is all the VP8s (South Georgia, Sandwich, Shetland and Orkney). No VP8 at all is considered as the right country.

For info, I imported all my QSOs from DX4Win, which has the correct country info for all QSOs,, as it does consider the AD1C file. Why is the country changed when I import into Log4OM ?

Changed because you selected update in adif import

If your happy with dxwin data then delete the imported files in log4om and import the dxwin adif again without updates selected

I did erase the database, imported the "correct" adif file, and now.... all boxes in DXCC award status are empty...
How do I update Worked, Confirmed, etc ?

How is the worked and confirmed status saved in the DXWin file?

Try rescaning the DXCC award as described previously

EMAIL the DXWin ADIF please

Is there a way to use the "DXCC QSL download" file from LoTW to update the granted status of credited QSOs ?
I would have about 4000 QSOs to update, I'd rather avoid having to do it one by one manually...
