The user manual says "Cluster time coloured red
When the time for a spot is in a red font it indicates that the spotted station is a known LOTW user"
How is a user "known" as uploading to LoTW?
Do it check the lotw-user-activity.csv file? Or is it relying on what the station has entered on their QRZ page? I ask because I worked EP5MMS after see the spot colored red to indicate LoTW but when I checked on LoTW, EP5MMS has never uploaded a single record. I downloaded the latest lotw-user-activity.csv file and again, EP5MMS is not in it.

Re: LoTW user known how?
Yes and its saved as LOTW.txt in your C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Log4OM2 folder
See https://lotw.arrl.org/lotw-help/develop ... s/?lang=en
But I am not sure what we do if the call is not found in that file, perhaps we then resort to QRZ but I dont think so

Re: LoTW user known how?
Happy New Years Terry. Thanks for the reply.
As noted in my question, the calls are not in the LoTW file but are marked as being LoTW users on their QRZ page. In the Cluster view and when the call is looked up from the CALLSIGN field, they are showing as LoTW users.
So I think that this deserves investigation and perhaps a change in that behavior.
All this in reference to version 2.30.1.0.

hi
the lotw file contains some calls (lotw subscribers) that log4om does not consider as such: that is, they are not displayed in yellow as lotw-user

Re: LoTW user known how?
We exclude an LOTW user that is listed but has not uploaded to LOTW during the last 12 months as far as I recall.ik6hsm wrote: 02 Feb 2025, 16:16 hi

If they are not keeping LOTW up to date then there is no point identifying them

Re: LoTW user known how?
Thanks Terry
my lotw.txt file contains IW6BDE which is not indicated as lotw user in log4om
also //lotw.arrl.org/lotw-user-activity.csv contains IW6BDE
don't know if I'm doing something wrong...
thanks again

Re: LoTW user known how?
IW6BDE is not included in the download from LOTW which Log4OM downloaded today, that is why its not marked
Have you asked LOTW why they ommitted that call from the provided download but its in the on line file ?
We have similar issues sometimes with QRZ where the download API does not list info shown on the website.
I also note the on line file has a date fror that call having uploaded late this afternoon, has it ever uploaded before that one?

Follow up
A download of the LOTW file in Log4OM two minutes ago (2025-02-02, 18:01:32) now contains IW6BDE so I am fairly certain that the first ever upload of that staion was late yesterday afternoon at 2025-02-01,16:56:24, as noted in my last post.
