Hi,
I am using the following cluster server:
pota-cluster.iz2lsc.eu
port: 7373
They have a notes field with the pota park reference. However, it maps to Refernece1 in Log4om. Can this be corrected? Is there a way I can map it to my comments or notes fields?
Thanks, Kevin

Re: POTA Cluster Mapping
Kevin,
You can map the POTA information to any of six different Refs.
See: Settings / Configuration / User preferences to make changes.
Have you added the POTA Award to your "active" awards list?
See: Settings / Configuration / Award Preferences to add that POTA award from the Inactive column to the Active column. Be sure to properly tap the 'Save and apply' icon to save your change. Restarting Log4OM after configuration changes is recommended.
The POTA award will then be visible in the Award Management section at: Utilities / Award Manager
Then ... when a spot shows up in the cluster with a valid POTA ID and you click on the spot (from the Cluster - F8 tab) the information will be fully added in the Main UI. You can see this at the Awards F3 tab.
Image below shows those basics I noted in the graf above.
BTW ... have you looked into using the hamalert.org:7300 cluster for POTA spots? You have to create a login (all free) and you can then create a filter for the spots you want fed to your logger. In my case I pretty much just focus on NA as I doubt I'll ever hear a POTA from Australia or Japan, etc.. One never knows, but you can filter to your heart's content. Just another option to consider.

Re: POTA Cluster Mapping
Hi, I had to change my username due to login issues.
I really appreciate the hamalert cluster server. I set it up last night.
As for my post, I was using the pota award and I do see the info in the sections that you described. I would still prefer that this mapped to the comments or notes field. I know other apps do this. This way when I upload to QRZ the park # is easily identified. Right now I manually copy it from the F2 tab and put it in the comments tab.
I am using version 2.35.1.0

Kevin,
All Log4OM Forum login usernames are supposed to be one's authorized callsign. Anything other than a valid callsign will not be approved.
There are many, many posts about such throughout the Log4OM Forum. I've linked a couple below.

Re: POTA Cluster Mapping
Easily resolved if you ask QRZ to display the ADIF standard POTA field which we include in the upload to QRZ
The 'Notes' field is usually used for notes that you dont want the other station to see, like "This guy dont stop talking" whereas 'Comments' are for public display on QSL cards etc. so automatically transfering 'Notes' contents to the 'Comments' field is not a good idea!
The clusters started using the notes field many years ago due to the lack of dedicated ADIF fields at that time.

Are you stating that QRZ does not use standard POTA or is this an option in QRZ?

I dont know if they dont use it or if its a case of not displaying the data field you would have to ask themN4KJC wrote: 16 Apr 2025, 19:31 Are you stating that QRZ does not use standard POTA or is this an option in QRZ?
The field is not included in their display list
