I have your program working on my TS-480HX just fine. I just purchased and installed a flex6300. The procedure to work with CAT systems for the FLEX is to first install SmartSDR CAT. In doing so the program identified the following:
to connect to com port 4. My next step was to load OmniRig and make the COM PORT 4 into RIG2. The only problem is you don't have a selection for the FLEX 6300. I spoke with Flex and they suggested either TS-2000 or PowerSDR, which is there old software. In either case I could not get it to work.
Please advise what I need to do to connect your software to my FLEX.
Thanks

Connecting LOG4OM to FLEX 6300
Re: Connecting LOG4OM to FLEX 6300
ciao Howard ,
I did a check and based on the information provided all seems to be fine.
I have only 2 questions:
1) why do you use RIG2 instead of RIG1 ?
2) do you have other vitual port emulator working in the same time with smartcat ? (you can also check in system resource if there are other com port available not defined by the smartcat ).
try also to create a new "dedicated" port in smartcat (com5) and try to use COM5 instead of com4
keep us informed !

Re: Connecting LOG4OM to FLEX 6300
Not sure how you would create a new port. I used rig2 until I am sure I am going to keep the 6300.
I don't have anything else running. Smartsdr cat say to use port 4.
Which interface should i use TS-2000 or what?
Your help is appreciated.
Thanks
Howard

Re: Connecting LOG4OM to FLEX 6300
Thanks for your info. I found the info in the manual, however the SMART CAT indicates to go to COM4. How can I change that for 5 as it indicates in the manual? Smart Cat has some options but I don't know how to use them. Please advise.
Thanks

Re: Connecting LOG4OM to FLEX 6300
enter in the smartcat menu and create a new port as dedicated (not shared, not ptt).
have a look at smartcat manual as it is fully explained
