To tie a ribbon on this thread, I did receive the 13_Colonies award file from KI5IO...and it worked!! That solved the issue of the award not showing up on the list. In a separate email, G4POP explained that the Award Tab Filter works by parsing the DX Cluster Note field. He further pointed out that since typical 13 Colonies cluster spots include no useable notes, the awards filter will rarely be of any assistance. Thinking about it, that makes much more sense than my presumption that the Award Tab Filter was somehow sorting on the current status of the award being referenced.
So the result is that using the Awards tab filter will not be useful for this particular Grail Quest. That is consistent with how my system was working. So the good news is with the help of KI5IO and G4POP my understanding of how LOG4OM Alerts work is much better. The bad news is my sought solution needs to be changed. All in all, I am very grateful for the attention my post generated. This has been very helpful for me. Thank you all very much.
Been doing that for 8+ years. Problem becomes with once I work a given station (IE: K2A) I don't need to work them again and the spots keeping appearing. Only way to resolve is to open up Alert Manager and then 'delete' K2A from the callsign list.
Not a big deal in the scheme of things, but I do have to recall to rebuilt the callsign list at the end of the special event for the next year.
It would be nice if there were an edit toggle of on/off for each callsign entry with the +/- to add or delete. Similar to what is used in other panels to enable/disable given option choices.
Or another solution I've used is to build an Alert rule for 'each" callsign and then just turn them on/off when I work the event of 13 Colonies, Route 66, Lewis & Clark, etc..
