Creating new award

Post by F4IEX »

Hi all,

Have recently tried to use the award management section of the program. Have read carefully the instruction manual as well as watched some vids on YT. Anyway, I still don't understand well (in the Award Type section), the difference between REFERENCE, QSOFIELD and CALLSIGN.
So far, my "test" awards seem ok and work correctly but I may make some mistakes.

Thanks in advance.

Your just selecting what area the award should look at to find the match to the references that you imported into the award.

If you have imported a list of French latrines like FFSH-1234 then select Reference

If you imported a list of data included in the normal ASDF fields like grid references then select QSO fields

Etc

Thanks for replying Terry.

One question though. Example: I want to create the WARB (Worked All Republic of Belarus) award. EU1/EW1/EV1 is for Minsk City, EU2/EW2/EV2 is for Minsk Region etc... In this case, I have to select CALLSIGN, right ?

If you dont have full call sign it might be better to use field - prefix

Argh. Selected CALLSIGN instead... Will see if it works anyway. If not, will change it.
Still learning !

Thanks Terry !
