The fact that the DXCC ADIF file is available only through manual download I don’t think is a problem as most of the DXCC users are not updating their credits more than once per year, due to the cost involved.
Updating the credits for DXCC or other awards using an ADIF file shouldn’t be a problem, because the ADIF file has the info about which awards must be credited. It will be more difficult though with the CSV file, which has no info about the award you want to update. This is why I was thinking that the updates for credits should be made possible from each award page, which means the csv credit file will be automatically applied to that specific award. Otherwise during the CSV import you’ll have to specify for which award you want to apply the credits, which is OK too.
The ultimate goal actually is to be able (after updating the award credit status) to generate a list with the paper QSLs available for new credits. The filter capability looks to be already in place…it is just the automated credit status update missing.
Well, whatever method will be implemented for updating the award credits, it will be a lot better than manually updating all the QSOs...hi, hi.
Thank you for considering this improvement!

QSL credit/granted status update using ADIF or CSV files
Re: QSL credit/granted status update using ADIF or CSV files
Dear Florin,
Maybe you can help me.
I have some credits in LoTW but whenever I click on DXCC QSL Download it will return an empty adif.
Not sure what I am doing wrong here.
Any hint ?
THanks
Greg

Re: QSL credit/granted status update using ADIF or CSV files
Hi Greg,
Have you used any QSL cards or LoTW credits to apply for any DXCC awards?
Please note that if you don’t have any of the DXCC awards, then the DXCC ADIF file is empty. If you already have an award, then you must link your LoTW and DXCC accounts.
Hope this helps.

Re: QSL credit/granted status update using ADIF or CSV files
Hi Florin,
In fact I finally got them, it just took over a week to be updated in the adif after i received confirmation from ARRL that my credits were granted.
All good.
By the way I have updated my 304 credits, 200 I was able to update automatically using a tool to update credits in Logger32 and the rest manually.
Danielle I think there is a bug for the CW credits granted.
When I update a CW QSO and I click award tab / credit granted / DXCC CW and save it.
When I go in the award window on awards for CW they are not shown in blue as they should be.
They remained green as verified but not blue as granted.
This is only for CW as far I saw.

No issues!
Let me know if it is only for me or a real bug Daniele.
By the way I am running last version

Re: QSL credit/granted status update using ADIF or CSV files
I am very much interested in the implementation of Florins wish no 1. I am also hunting DXCC challenge with many bandpoints already. This semms to be the only chance to get the synchronisation of the DXCC confirmations with LOG4OM data.
A manual download of the DXCC QSL ADIF is no problem (see attachment - hardcopy of LOTW awards page).
I will appreciate this feature!

Hi Olaf,
Impressive achievement, it looks like you have all 4 medals. Congratulations! When you get to this level, the QSL management is critical.
I have used myself the same method that Greg mentioned above, using a utility created for Logger 32 to update my log in ADIF format, with the DXCC granted status. Unfortunately it worked only partially for me, updating only the DXCC status for mixed but not for DXCC Challenge.
However, during the update I found that about 2-3% of the paper QSLs recorded in my DXCC account have errors, ranging from time/date mismatch to band or even mode errors. This seems to be the case just with the older paper applications (3-4 years), when errors were made at the DXCC desk during the transfer of the paper records into computers.
Daniele, if you read these and decide to implement the DXCC adif update feature, please consider generating also an error log (txt file) with the errors encountered during the update. The user will have then to manually update the DXCC granted status for those QSLs with minor mismatches (date/time). As for band or mode errors, the user will have to discuss them with the DXCC desk and they will do the corrections on their side.

Re: QSL credit/granted status update using ADIF or CSV files
Hi Florin and all,
I confirm this Logger32 utility will not work for DXCC challenge thus involving manual update.
Hope we will have this possibility soon from Log4OM.
