Hi Terry/Daniele

Thanks for beta 04. On FT4 say on the 18.104 MHz slot in the Log4OM GUI the mode is now showing FT4 on the receive sequence, but on the transmit sequence it changes to FT8, then reverts to FT4 on the next receive sequence etc. Same behaviour on other FT4 designated slots.

My ITU setting is 60, and IARU region 3.

Regards

Then I think that may be originating from the JT software, is it only on that band or does it also happen on other FT4 frequencies.

I assume the QSO is saved with the correct mode and its just the visual display that fluctuates?

When we receive the answers to the above we will check futher but its strange that the other beta testers have not experienced this, what radio do you use?

Hi Terry

Thanks, this happens on all FT4 designated slots. The QSO logs correctly, yes it is only the mode display flicks to FT8 on transmit, reverts to FT4 on receive sequence.

Confirming I am using a Yaesu FT-DX10, JT Alert, and JTDX. I tried WSJTX without JT Alert and it has the same issue.

Nothing else in my operating environment has knowingly changed, and the issue for me has only existed with FT4 since the last release version.

Hi Terry

Further observation just noted, I usually operate at 300 - 500 Hz on the transmit sequence.

However, if I transmit at 1,000 Hz or above it behaves correctly! Select 999 Hz and it flickers to FT8, the plot thickens :o

Gavin,

Take a screen clip of your CAT settings in the Log4OM Configuration page as well.

Hi Nolan,

As attached, no change in toggling the FT8 checkbox off/on.
