log4om + Omnirig + flrig

Post by KC3UDZ »

Hello All,

OK, I've searched and found many related threads, but none (that I have found) answer my question exactly.
I would like to use FLRig for CAT control of my Yaesu FT-891

And Log4OM using Omnirig if possible. I have used Hamlib with limited success. Hamlib will hook-up and then drop out after just a few seconds. VERY frustrating.
In the other threads that I have found on this subject, Terry suggests Omnirig, but I can't for the life of me figure out how, because FLRig is using COM4.
I'm sure there's a way to all three (FT-891, FLRig & Log4OM) talking to each other! Would someone who's using this (or similar) combination please give me a quick "how-to"?

TIA,

Slav,

Thank you, but I have already seen that post. Like I said, Hamlib hooks up and drops out after 5-10 seconds.
I don't understand why this is so hard. It's obviously something that I am doing wrong, but the solution escapes me.

I asked because we had an issue in an earlier release but its fixed in the version your using.

I thought there was a choice in FLrig to use Omnirig rig 1 or 2 in the radio list, can you check please?

Terry,

No. There is just Omni-VII and OMNI-VI. Whatever they are.

They are Ten Tec radios!

Did you refer to this thread which has a hint viewtopic.php?t=3371

QUOTE:

I've found I can copy rigctld and these files

12/19/2014 09:54 PM 507,989 libgcc_s_sjlj-1.dll
03/31/2018 08:13 AM 2,613,248 libhamlib-2.dll
09/13/2015 08:00 PM 252,580 libusb-1.0.dll
01/21/2015 05:40 PM 67,008 libusb0.dll
09/11/2014 04:34 PM 251,903 libwinpthread-1.dll

And Log4OM can connect to everything in the new version. I updated riglist.txt to show the new rigs.

I am now trying to run either hamlib NET rigctl or the FLRig entry. I can get both to run just by using the parameter "--model=2" or "--model=4".
